Lady Rebels Charge Past Fort Campbell 17-2

The Todd County Central Lady Rebels put double digits on the scoreboard for the third time in the last four games Thursday evening. The Lady Rebels cranked up the offense and scored 17 runs in their last two at-bats in picking up a 17-2 four-inning win at home over the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons.

The Lady Falcons hung around for the first two innings as the teams battled to a 0-0 tie. Fort Campbell briefly took the lead at 1-0 in the top of the third when Baylee Backes grounded out to score Tristin Caldwell.

The Lady Rebels came back in the bottom of the inning to take the lead. Todd Central took advantage of five walks to plate six runs and take a 6-2 lead. The Lady Rebels got RBI singles from Jocelyn Mock and Dakotah Gammon in the inning.

After the Lady Falcons got one run back in the top of the fourth when Tristin Caldwell was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, the Lady Rebels ended the game with an 11-run inning. Todd County Central scored all eleven runs after there were two outs in the inning.

For the game, Jocelyn Mock led the Lady Rebels, going 2-3 with a double, 4 RBIs, and a run scored. Addison Woodall ended up 2-2 with 2 RBIs and three runs scored.

Amar’e Moore and Hailey Herron had the only two hits in the game for the Lady Falcons, who efforts were hampered by giving up 12 walks in the pitching circle.

Jocelyn Mock got the win for the Lady Rebels, going three innings, giving up one run on two hits, striking out five and walking two.
