Lyon County errors in the top of the second and the top of the third allowed the Braves to make it suddenly more interesting, as Union County scored two in each inning to cut the lead to a single run at 5-4.

The Lyons got their breathing room back in the bottom of the fourth. After a pair of walks to start the inning, Austin Spears drove in a run with a double. John Bingham then drove in Brady Belt with a sac fly to push the lead back out to 7-4.
