A tough loss for the Heritage Christian Academy Warriors but a big night for senior standout Jason Leek Friday night. Leek became the school’s all-time leading scorer as the Warriors fell to Carlisle County 70-43 in the St. Mary Christmas Classic.
Leek scored 29 points in the loss, giving him 1,771 for his career and moving him into the top spot ahead of former Warrior Carlos Robles.
Carlisle County bolted out to a 27-6 lead after the first quarter Friday night and kept rolling. The Comets led 52-16 at the half.
With the running clock in play, the rest of the game played out quickly. Carlisle County led 66-29 after three.
Jason Leek finished the game with a double-double for Heritage Christian. In addition to his 29 points, Leek also pulled down 10 rebounds., Nathan Wheatcraft had four points for the Warriors.
Heritage Christian (1-6) takes on Livingston Central Saturday afternoon in the consolation bracket of the St. Mary’s Christmas Classic.
