Tyah White has been a key contributor for Hopkins County Central for several years and was a big part of last year’s run to the 2nd Region championship game.
White is back at it this season, leading the team in both points and rebounding with 13.9 and 7.2, respectively.
White had 16 points and nine rebounds on Monday as the Lady Storm came from behind to defeat Madisonville-North Hopkins 58-54 in 7th District action in Mortons Gap.
In the process, the junior reached 1,000 career points at Hopkins Central. She joined classmate Calajia Mason, who hit the 1,000-point mark earlier in the same game.
Your Sports Edge spoke with White following the contest.
