Jason Leek’s third 51-point game of the season helped Heritage Christian Academy edge past Clarksville Christian on the road 76-70 on Thursday.

The senior guard scored 13 of HCA’s 16 points in the first quarter as the Warriors clung to a 16-15 lead.

Leek added 18 more points in the third quarter as HCA built a 56-47 lead after three quarters.

After scoring his 51st point, Leek left the game with two minutes left after suffering a cut above his eye that required stitches.

HCA got four points from Samuel Thompson and a clutch 3-pointer from Cadyn Travis in the final quarter to keep the Centurions at bay.

Leek has scored at least 21 points in every game this season for HCA and has scored 51 points three times – an HCA single-game record.

He narrowly missed a triple-double with nine rebounds and seven assists.

Leek scored 43 points in a two-point win over Clarksville Christian last month.

Thompson did get a double-double for the Warriors with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Heritage also got a solid effort from Cooper Kirkman with four points and three rebounds.

HCA shot 48% from the field and knocked down 19-of-24 free throws.

Jesiah Sutton led Clarksville Christian with 31 points.

The win came at a needed time for HCA, who had dropped five of its six previous contests.

The Warriors will play at Christian Fellowship on Saturday and at Trigg County on Tuesday.
