Caldwell County sophomore Ari Wells had a big day in the Tigers’ 15-5 win over Henderson County on Saturday.
Wells was 3-for-5 at the plate with a home run and two doubles.
He put the Tigers in front with a three-run homer in the first.
After Henderson tied the game in the fifth, Wells put Caldwell back in front with an RBI double in the bottom of the inning.
He had another RBI double off the fence in right as part of Caldwell’s nine-run sixth inning that ended the game.
And he also went the first four innings on the mound.
