The Hoptown Hoppers went into their game against the Full Count Rhythm on Saturday evening looking to earn their third straight win. But unfortunately, they were not able to do that.

The Rhythm’s offense was able to rack up 12 hits in the game, and that was the key factor in them being able to get the 14-4 win over the Hoppers.

Owen Boswell started on the mound for Hoptown, but was only able to pitch 3.1 innings in his start. Aidon Butts came in to relieve Boswell, and while he allowed three hits, he did not allow any runs on his way to three strikeouts in just 1.2 innings.

As for the Hoppers’ offense, their first run came in the top of the first inning after a single from Dominick Bello. Myles Denton then singled in the top of the third, which scored two runs. Finally, JJ Thompson batted in a run after he was able to reach first on an error.

The team’s other hits came from Cole Reynolds, Konnor Scheidt, and Thompson, the last of which had two.

Hoptown will be looking to get back on the right track in their next game on Sunday, June 22, against the Paducah Chiefs. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. from Brooks Stadium in Paducah, KY.
