Full Count extended the lead to 2-0 in the top of the third on a sac fly from John Paul Head, from Alabama-Birmingham. The Rhythm then took advantage of three walks and a Hopper error in the top of the fourth to score three more runs and move the lead out to 5-0.

The Hoppers got on the board in the bottom of the fifth when Kolby Webb was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, cutting the lead to 5-1.
