The Heritage Christian Academy Warriors went into their matchup with Clarksville Christian looking for their first win of the season. They will have to keep looking however, as they took a 56-42 loss at home.

On the bright side of things, this is the closest game of the season for Heritage Christian so far, as their other losses have not been as close. They will look to take this momentum into the rest of the season.

Clarksville Christian wasted no time, scoring 23 points in the first quarter compared to HCA’s 11. This was really the difference of the game, because in the second half especially, the Warriors were able to effectively keep up.

But another big reason for the HCA loss was the four points they scored in the second quarter. Clarksville scored just 13, but it was enough to extend their lead a bit to 36-15 at the halftime break.

The third quarter was neck-and-neck, as both teams scored 14 points in the period. The Warriors attempted to make a comeback in the fourth by outscoring Clarksville by eight in the quarter. But it was a little too late, and the Warriors went down 56-42.

Noah Arvin finished the game as the leading scorer for Heritage Christian with 12 points, and he also had a double-double with 13 rebounds. Aaron Hensley also contributed 11 points, and he got it done on the defensive end with five steals.

The Warriors will be looking to take the momentum of this solid performance into their next game on Tuesday, December 16, against Community Christian. The game is set to tip off at 7 p.m. at Heritage Christian Academy.
