The Heritage Christian Academy Warriors lost their last game to Trigg County, but got a win right before that against Cloverport. They faced off against the Russellville Raiders on Monday evening, and they were able to get their second win in four days with a score of 73-57.
The game started off very back and forth, but the Warriors went on a very quick 5-0 run to end the first quarter up 13-9.
That 5-0 run to end the first eight minutes then grew all the way to a 9-0 run, which gave HCA an eight point lead a couple minutes into the second quarter. Then after the Raiders stopped the first run, the Warriors went on yet another one, this time at 10-0.
This led to Heritage Christian going up 34-17 at the halftime break.
The third quarter was a bunch of back-and-forth, evidenced by the fact that the lead only grew by one point. But grow it did.
After that, all it took was 17 from the Warriors in the fourth and final quarter to close out the game and get their third win of the season.
The leading scorer in the game was Noah Arvin with an impressive 30 points, and he did so with 18 rebounds. Aaron Hensley and Jacob Morgan were also each able to get into double-digits with 13 points apiece.
Heritage Christian has four games remaining in their regular season, so they will be hoping that they can make the most of them and rack up the wins to end the year.
They will get the first chances to do just that in their next game on Tuesday against the Fort Campbell Falcons. Their game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at Fort Campbell High School.
