
Fresh off an impressive victory over Christian County in their last outing, the Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons cruised past hosts Fort Campbell 19-4 on Thursday night.
The Maroons pushed across three runs in their opening at-bat, highlighted by Brantley Harris’ RBI double, and took advantage of a pair of Falcon errors to double the advantage in the 2nd.
Brayden Lynch’s RBI single made it 8-1 in the 3rd, and a run on a wild pitch and another on Jaziyon Latham’s double extended the lead in the 4th.
Madisonville closed the show with nine runs in the top of the 5th, including RBI singles by Latham, Hayden Cole, and Brennen Cole.
Aidan Arp earned the win on the mound for the Maroons, allowing three runs, none earned, on four hits with six strikeouts over three and a third innings. Gauge Clark pitched the final one and two-thirds, giving up one earned run on a hit with a walk and a pair of strikeouts.
Harris led the Maroons with three hits and an RBI, Latham had two hits and drove in three runs, and Alex Richards added two hits and two RBI.
Michael Anderson took the loss for the Falcons, surrendering four runs, three earned, on two hits with three walks and a strikeout over one and a third.
Isaiah Messercruz had two hits and drove in two runs for Fort Campbell, and Joseph Katz had a hit and an RBI.
