Athletic teams across the area are not just exceptional on the court or on the field. Many of these outstanding young people involved in high school sports are also involved in many different ways in giving back to their school community and their community and are standing out in the classroom.
Those are the teams that are at the top of the list, or an ‘A-Team’ so to say. In this case, the Chick-fil-A ‘A-Team’. Teams that exhibit great core values like accountability, growth, respect to others, quality, and service.
Such is the case with Tuesday night’s efforts from bowlers at Heritage Christian Academy, Hopkinsville High School, and Christian County High School. These student athletes were among those that turned out for the Military Child Bowling Night at Southern Lanes in Hopkinsville.
The high school bowlers turned out to mentor, coach, and encourage military children from the area. The evening was part of the Month of the Military Child Observances taking place around the Christian County area and was put together by the Southwestern KY Military Affairs Committee.
This kind of commitment to helping others is a perfect example of the kind of thing that makes the Falcons a great Chick-fil-A ‘A-Team.’
