The University Heights Academy Blazers now know their opponent for the sectional round of the All A Classic state baseball tournament.
St. Mary claimed the 1st Region All A Classic championship Tuesday night with a 5-2 win over Hickman County. The Vikings will now make a trip to Hopkinsville to take on the Blazers for the right to advance to Owensboro next weekend.
As of Wednesday morning, the time and date for the game was yet to be set.
With their win Tuesday, St. Mary improves to 12-1 with the Vikings’ only loss coming to Marshall County by the score of 8-5 back on March 30.
UHA currently is 15-2 with losses to Logan County and Bowling Green.
The winner of UHA and St. Mary will advance to take on the winner of the game between Cumberland County and Owensboro Catholic Saturday, April 25, at 3pm, at Daviess County High School.
