The Dawson Springs Lady Panthers came in fifth place at Tuesday’s Henderson County quad meet.
Olivia Hines led the Lady Panthers with top-three finishes in four events, including one win.
Hines opened her day by placing third in the 100-meter dash in 13.77, then added another third-place finish in the 200-meter dash in 31.63. She followed that with a runner-up finish in the 400-meter dash, clocking 1:05.37, good for the third fastest in school history.
Hines won the long jump with a school record leap of 15-1.25. She set the school record a week ago at the Apollo Tax Time Trials, becoming the first female athlete at the school to pass 15 feet.
Miley Lowe also contributed in the sprints, finishing seventh in the 100-meter dash in 14.89, eighth in the 200-meter dash in 32.50, and ninth in the 400-meter dash at 1:19.59.
Kayla Anderson placed 14th in the 100-meter dash in 16.54 and 14th in the 200-meter dash in 35.32, while Emilie Turner was 15th in the 100 in 17.28 and 16th in the 200 in 37.73.
In the throwing events, Carson Clark led Dawson Springs with a sixth-place finish in the discus at 61-6 and later took ninth in the shot put with a throw of 15-10.5. Anderson was ninth in the discus at 40-10, and Turner finished 10th at 39-5.
Dawson Springs totaled 47 points to finish ahead of sixth place Owensboro (28) and behind fourth place Union County (51).
