Maroons Celebrate Senior Night by Rolling Past Livingston Central (w/PHOTOS)

game-69-4

The Senior Night ceremony took almost as much time as the game did at Elmer Kelley Stadium Friday night. The Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons hung 14 runs on the board in the bottom of the second inning on their way to a 15-0 three-inning win over Livingston Central.

After a hitless first inning and the Cardinals going down in order in the top of the first inning, the Maroons blew the roof off the game in the bottom of the second.

Madisonville sent 20 batters to the plate in the inning as the game got away from Livingston Central. The Cardinals did not help their own cause any by giving up five walks, five hit batters, and four errors in the inning.

The Maroons then walked the game off with a double in the bottom of the third inning that extended the lead to 15 runs.

Blake Prow led Madisonville, going 2-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Evan Wilson finished 2-2 with an RBI and three runs scored. Alex Richards was 1-2 with a triple, three RBIs, and a run scored.

Aidan Arp and Evan Wilson combined to pitch a three-inning no-hitter. Arp went two innings and struck out four. Wilson went one inning, striking out two and walking one.
