Braves Use Warrior Miscues to Take 14-4 Win

Union County turned seven Heritage Christian errors into ten unearned runs as the Braves traveled to Hopkinsville and came away with a 14-4 five-inning win Tuesday evening.

The Braves led just 2-0 going into the top of the third when they hung five runs on the board to extend the lead out to 7-0. Two errors opened the door for Union County with the big hit in the inning being a two-run double from Grayson O’Daniel.

HCA got a run in the bottom half of the inning on a groundout from Caden Gresham and then another run in the bottom of the fourth on a bases loaded hit by pitch to trim the lead to 7-2.

Union County then put the game away with seven runs in the top of the fifth to blow the lead out to 14-2. HCA had four errors in the inning and the Braves scored all seven runs with two outs.

Aaron Hensley went 2-2 for the Warriors with an RBI. Cadyn Travis, Collin Outland, and Caden Gresham had one hit each.

For the game, Union County outhit the Warriors 11 to 5.
