The Dawson Springs baseball team went into their Tuesday evening game against Fulton County looking for their first win of the season. Unfortunately for the Panthers, the Pilots were able to protect their home field with a 15-0 win in four innings.
Fulton County got started with three runs in the bottom of the first inning. And after they took that early lead, the Pilots never looked back.
They scored five more in the second, a pair in the third, and five more in the bottom of the fourth to cause the mercy rule and get their own first win of the season.
The Pilots’ pitching was able to carry the team in the game, as they allowed no hits to the Dawson Springs lineup.
The Panthers will be in search of their first win in their next game against the Fort Campbell Falcons on Thursday, May 14. Their game is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. at Dawson Springs Tradewater Park.
