
After leading the Hopkinsville Tigers at the plate and being almost untouchable on the mound, Hoptown’s Preston Chaudoin has been recognized for his performance in 2022 by the state’s baseball coaches.
The Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association announced its All-State teams Sunday and Chaudoin was named 2nd Team All-State.
At the plate, Chaudoin hit .365 with 2 home runs and 20 RBIs. He had 9 stolen bases and scored 34 runs for the season.
On the mound, Chaudoin had a stellar season. He finished the year with a record of 5-1 with an ERA of just 0.46. Chaudoin struck out 84 while walking only 14 in 45 2/3-innings of work.
The Tigers finished the year at 13-16, losing to Henderson County in the opening round of the 2nd Region tournament.
