This latest Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ for the week of January 8 is Heritage Christian Academy’s Layton Giltner. Layton was selected based on his performance in the Warriors’ 2nd Region All A Classic contest against University Heights Academy.
Layton had a big night for the Warriors scoring 14 points and pulling down 12 rebounds. With his big performance, HCA pushed the Blazers deep into the fourth quarter before falling. Layton’s performance helps establish him as an up-and-coming player in the 8th District.
The Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ is selected each week from one of the five schools in Christian County (Christian County, Hopkinsville, University Heights, Christian County, and Fort Campbell) based on their performance in a big game for their team that week.
