University Heights has alternated wins and losses in every game this season. The Lady Blazers will look to group some wins together this week at the Lady Warrior Classic hosted by Community Christian in Paducah.
UHA (3-4) will open play in the event Thursday at 5pm against Lake County, Tenn. The Lady Falcons are 3-5 and have lost five of their last six games. Lake County was 11-16 last year and is making their first appearance in the Lady Warrior Classic.
The Lady Blazers are playing in their first post-Christmas tournament in four years. If UHA wins Thursday, they will play in the semifinals Friday at 6:30. If they lose, they will play the loser of the Trigg County/Ballard Memorial game Friday at 5pm.
The full 10-team field in addition to the Lady Blazers and Lake County includes Trigg County (6-2), Carlisle County (4-3), Ballard Memorial (5-4), Lyon County (3-6), Christian Fellowship (3-3), Community Christian (3-5), Joppa-Maple Grove, Ill. (0-5), and Pope County, Ill. (6-4).
