Birdies were tough to come by for Evan Pyle during his third-place finish Wednesday at the Sneds Tour stop at the Legacy Golf Course in Springfield, Tennessee.
The Hopkinsville High junior shot an 18-over 90 to finish 17 shots behind the winner, Isaac Meador of Lafayette, Tenn. After a tough front nine, Pyle rallied on the back with a 7-over 43. His round included five pars but no birdies.
Pyle has played in two Sneds Tour events this summer and finished in the top three of his division in both.
