Emmy Blane was one of five University of Kentucky softball players to be named to the Southeastern Conference First-Year Academic Honor Roll.
The Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2019 summer and fall terms, along with the 2020 spring term. Players must also have a 3.0 grade-point average for the entire year.
Blane, a former All-State shortstop and class valedictorian at Christian County, started 18 games for UK in the spring before COVID-19 shut down the Wildcats’ season with a 20-4 record.
