While it is only a scrimmage, it was a very good way to get back to action for the Christian County Lady Colonels Saturday. After losing the 2020 season to the COVID-19 pandemic, Christian County came out swinging in 2021 and picked up a 15-0 scrimmage win at Russellville.

Most of the damage in the five-inning contest was done in the 3rd inning when the Lady Colonels plated ten runs. They scored three runs in the first and two in the 4th inning.

Karlie Crick had a big day at the plate for the Lady Colonels, going 4-4 with a double and 3 RBIs. Pickle Winkler was 2-4 with a double, 2 RBIs, and three runs scored. Gracie Harned finished 3-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Riley Hancock was 2-3 with a home run, a run scored, and 3 RBIs.

Tenley Gilbert, Aalaisha McGregor, Chloe Craft, and Kaleigh Shaw, all added two hits each for Christian County.

Riley Hancock pitched three innings to pick up the win, giving up no runs on just three hits, striking out two. Gracie Harned pitched two innings, giving up no runs on no hits, striking out three while walking one.
