It was truly a “team” effort Thursday night for University Heights Academy. Thirteen different Blazers scored as UHA rolled to a 66-16 win over the Fort Campbell Falcons in an 8th District contest.

The Blazers effectively settled the matter in the first 8 minutes of the game. The UHA defense pitched a shutout in the first quarter, while the offense was firing on all cylinders. By the time the quarter came to an end, the Blazers were up 24-0.

The second quarter was more of the same. The UHA defense limited the Falcons to a single 3-point field goal as they extended the lead out to 36-3 at the half.

Things did not get any better for the Falcons as the second half got underway. UHA again held Fort Campbell to a single made 3-point shot, as the Blazers pushed the lead on out to 53-6.

With the running clock in effect, Blazer reserves saw much of the action over the final eight minutes as UHA cruised on out to the 50 point win.

Lemar Northington was the only Blazer to hit double figures with 11. Javion Brown and Gavin Grubbs added 8 points each.

Aidan Blaszkowski led the Falcon with 6 points, all coming on three point shots.

Shooting woes continue to plague Fort Campbell, as the Falcons hit only 6 of 41 from the field. UHA was 30 of 66.

UHA improves to 2-3 with the win. They are back in action in a big 8th District battle Friday when they host Christian County.

Fort Campbell falls to 1-7. The Falcons are on the road Friday at Clarksville Christian.
