Playing their third game in less than 48 hours, the short-rostered UHA Lady Blazers may have run into a bit of a wall Saturday afternoon. After scoring seven points in the opening quarter, University Heights could only muster nine points over the final 24 minutes of the game as Logan County rolled to a 62-16 win in Blazer Gym.

For much of the first quarter, the Lady Blazers were able to hang in the game with the Lady Cougars. Logan County extended the lead to 15-7 as the quarter came to an end.

From there, it was all Logan County. The Lady Cougars held the Lady Blazers to just two points in the second quarter, as UHA connected on just one of seven field-goal attempts. Logan County was able to run the lead out to 36-9 at the half.

Coming out of the locker room to start the second half it was more of the same as Logan County kept their offense rolling and the Lady Cougar defense, despite the holiday season, was not in the spirit of giving. Logan County held the Lady Blazers to three points in the third as the lead ballooned out to 56-12.

With the clock running, the 4th quarter played out quickly and Logan County idled on out to the win.

Alecia Davis led UHA with nine points. Breanna Daniel added five for the Lady Blazers.

Kadyn Costello finished with 12 points for Logan County. Sierra Seiber added eleven for the Lady Cougars.

UHA falls to 1-6 with the loss. The Lady Blazers are back in action after Christmas at the Zaxby’s Christmas Classic at Todd County Central.
