Just over three weeks after beating Community Christian for their first victory in five seasons, the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons found themselves on the other side of a skid-stopping win on Monday night in Paducah.

Fort Campbell held Community Christian to only 20 points in the first meeting, but was on the receiving end of the Lady Warriors’ largest point total of the season in a 65-31 defeat on Monday.

When the teams met on post on January 15, Community Christian 8th-grader Courtney Holland didn’t play, and she was the difference on Monday.  Holland put up eight 1st-quarter points, and Reagan Cross matched her, to help the Lady Warriors to a 25-9 advantage.  Hope Balzeski and Marlie Fanning combined for eight for the Lady Falcons.

Holland scored 13 of the Lady Warriors’ 19 in the 2nd quarter and they continued to pull away.  Fanning did what she could with eight more for Fort Campbell, but the Lady Falcons trailed 44-18 at the halftime break.

Fort Campbell only put up four points in the 3rd quarter and Holland kept the hot hand with seven more for the Lady Warriors.

Holland had a game-high 28 through three quarters and with a 39-point lead, Community Christian took its foot off the gas.  Cross scored all four of the Lady Warriors 4th-quarter points and Rosella Rajj accounted for five of the Lady Falcons nine.

Fanning’s 15 led Fort Campbell, followed by Balzeski with 10.
