In the movie ‘Hoosiers’, Coach Norman Dale looked at his team of six players and told his assistant coach it was going to be a lonely bench. Heritage Christian Academy coach Darrell Crawford channeled his inner Gene Hackman Thursday as the Lady Warriors took six players to Pleasant View and ended up on the short end of a 32-18 decision.
HCA trailed 13-3 at halftime as they struggled to get good shots due to turnovers and missed shots in the paint.
Fortunes changed in the third quarter as four players scored, and the Lady Warriors cut the deficit to four points. However, that would be as close as they would get as PCHS ended the game on a 15-5 run.
Tori Sutton led HCA with seven points and nine rebounds. Madison Warren added six points.
HCA will travel to region rival Oak Ridge Christian Saturday and play a road contest Monday at Dawson Springs.
