The Hopkinsville Lady Tiger tennis team battled their way to a 2-1 record over the weekend at the McCracken County Invitational. The Lady Tigers were in the thick of it in all three matches they played, against top-level competition.
Hopkinsville opened the weekend by falling to Bowling Green. The Lady Purples picked up the win 6-3.
The Lady Tigers then rebounded with a tough 5-4 win over Union City.
The win over Union City put Hopkinsville in a consolation match against Louisville Manual. In another tough battle, the Lady Tigers would lay their claim to the victory with a 5-4 win.
McCracken County would go on to win the girls’ invitational championship, defeating Houston County.
