
The Fort Campbell girls’ basketball team dropped its second-straight game with a 47-12 loss to visiting Butler County on Saturday.
The Lady Falcons were held to single digits each quarter to slip to 2-6 overall with a trip to 8th-District rivals Hopkinsville on Monday.
Butler County took control behind six points for Kennedy Rice and five from Jenna Phelps, leading 22-2 after the first quarter.
The Lady Bears shot just over 30%, including 3 of 30 from behind the arc, and won the rebounding battle 35-18.
Charlize Cruz led Fort Campbell in scoring with six, followed by Ariana McDaniel with five. The Lady Falcons shot 3 for 17 from the floor and collected six points at the free-throw line.
Ten players scored for Butler County, led by Phelps with ten.
