
Caldwell County’s girls have taken six straight games from Union County after winning 10-6 on Monday at Union County High School.
Down 3-0 early, the Lady Tigers scored three runs in the top of the third and five runs in the fourth grab the lead for good.
Harper Holeman had a grand slam as part of Caldwell’s big fourth inning rally. She also doubled and finished the day 2-for-5 with the four RBIs.
Presley McKinney had a three-run double as Caldwell tied the game in the top of the third.
Adley Lewis finished 3-for-4 at the plate while Alicia Stanley was 2-for-5 for the Lady Tigers.
Caldwell outhit the Bravettes 13-10.
Sydney Thomas homered and was 3-for-4 for Union. Jaylen Tackett was 3-for-4 and Leah Hunley was 3-for-5.
Alexis Wood was the winning pitcher. She gave up two earned runs while striking tou three and walking four.
The Lady Tigers are now 3-1. They are scheduled to play at Christian County on Tuesday.
