Hoptown Girls Take Fourth Place at Henderson Colonel Classic

Four individual finishes in the top three and four more top threes in the relay evens helped Hopkinsville High’s girls’ track and field team finish in fourth place at Saturday’s Henderson County Colonel Classic.

Hoptown’s 84 points were three more than fifth-place Christian County and three less than third-place Madisonville.

DeAijha Tullis – 1st in the high jump (4-08); 3rd in the triple jump (30-08)

Alexis Herrera Loveto – 2nd in the 800-meter run (2:59.55); 9th in the 1600-meter run (6:52.83)

Alexandria Williams – 2nd in the discus throw (86-09); 5th in the shot put (25-04.5)

Janiyah Rhodes – 4th in the 200-meter dash (30.72)

Tremiyah Lenori – 5th in the 100-meter dash (15.02)

Lauren Mayes – 5th in the 3200-meter run (13:54.11); 8th in the 400-meter dash (1:16.17)

Arniya Brown – 7th in the 200-meter dash (32.26)

Amaya Burse – 7th in the 400-meter dash (1:14.55)

Antavia Shemwell – 8th in the long jump (11-09)

LaTijha Cherry – 11th in the shot put (16-11.25); 12th in the discus throw (42-06)

The 400-meter relay team of Rhodes, Hopkins, Settles, and Spikes finished in 2nd place (57.14).

The 800-meter relay team of Lenori, Rowe, Rhodes, and Spikes finished 3rd (2:03.01).

The 1600-meter relay team of Brown, Hopkins, Settles, and Rowe finished in 3rd place with a time of 4:55.18.

The 3200-meter relay team of Loveto, Lynch, Mayes, and Spikes finished 3rd in 12:36.31.
