
Daviess County just missed having five players score in double figures while running past Todd County Central 84-61 Wednesday in the Rafferty’s/Double Dogs Caveland Classic in Brownsville.
The Rebels (3-5) were within 23-21 after one quarter before falling behind 43-31 at halftime.
The Panthers (6-3) took a 66-53 lead to the final frame.
DeAaron Watkins had 22 points while Jonathan Moss added 20 for Daviess. Gage Phelps tallied 15 points, Aydan Ayer 11 and Jaxon Brown nine for the Panthers.
Todd got a game-high 29 points from Jamison Glass and another 19 from Hayden Strader. Keshawn Moore added 10.
The Rebels will play in the Caveland Classic again on Thursday, facing the Owensboro Knights Christian home school team at 12:45 p.m.
