Madisonville-North Hopkins took the early lead with a three-run top of the first inning Friday night and never trailed on the way to a 6-3 road win at Daviess County. The win was the third straight for the Maroons.

Blake Prow’s two-run single in the top of the first was the big hit of the inning for the Maroons.

Leading 3-2, Madisonville then added a run in the top of the third on a wild pitch.

After Daviess cut the lead back to 4-3, the Maroons got a pair of insurance runs in the sixth, taking advantage of a Panther error and getting a two-out RBI single from Gauge Clark.

Clark finished the night 3-4 with an RBI and a run scored. Blake Prow was also 3-4 with two RBIs.

On the mound, Brantley Harris went six innings to get the win. He gave up three runs on eight hits, striking out three and walking just one.
