Caldwell Wins Three Medals at Girls’ State Track Meet

The Caldwell County Lady Tigers came away with three trips to the medal podium at Thursday’s KHSAA Class 1A State Track and Field Championships at the University of Kentucky.

The day was marred by rain showers, although not severe enough to cause any weather delays.

Kyndle Mahaffey repeated as state champion in the 100-meter dash wheelchair in 34.35 seconds.

Addison Middleton-Mobley was fourth in the triple jump with a leap of 32-05 and was sixth in the long jump at 15-08.50.

Med Thomas came in 18th place in the 400-meter run in 1:06.98.

Emma Forsythe placed 21st in the 3200-meter run in 15:26.54.

Keirli Herran was 21st in the discus throw at 78-01.

The 400-meter relay team of Kinlee Rowland, Audrey McCoy, Brilee Hubbard, and Addison Middleton -Mobley came in 11th place in 53.67 seconds.

The 3200-meter relay team of Kimberly Shrewsbury, Mariah Vickery, Med Thomas, and Kylee White came in 12th place in a season-best 11:09.81.

The 800-meter relay team of Vickery, Audrey McCoy, Kinlee Rowland, and Brilee Hubbard finished in 14th place in 1:55.45.

As a team, Caldwell County finished in 22nd place with eight points.

Addison Middleton-Mobley is a 2026 two-time state meet medalist, finishing fourth in the triple jump and sixth in the long jump.
