
Edmonson County pitcher Jacob Logan just missed out on his no-hitter Friday night. Logan gave up only a 7th inning double as the Wildcats knocked off Todd County Central 8-1.
The Wildcats delivered the knockout blow early in this one, scoring six runs in the bottom of the first inning. Edmonson County was aided by a cooperative Rebel defense, which was charged with four errors in the inning.
Edmonson County added a run in the second and one more in the third to get the lead out to 8-0.
Todd County finally broke through in the top of the seventh when Hunter Johnson led off the inning with a double and then later scored on an Edmonson County error.
Jacob Jackson got the start on the mound for the Rebels and was tagged with the loss.
The loss was the sixth straight for Todd County Central, which has scored two total runs during the skid.
