
Daviess County’s pressure defense got the Lady Panthers off to a quick start that the UHA Lady Blazers could not overcome Tuesday night. The Lady Panthers held the Lady Blazers to single digits in every quarter as they rolled to a 65-23 win at Blazer Gym.
Daviess County used a balanced attack to break out to a 23-8 lead after the opening quarter.
UHA did a better job slowing down the Daviess County offense in the second quarter. However, the Lady Blazers had trouble getting their offense going. The half would come to an end with Daviess County holding a 33-14 lead.
Adylan Ayer and Katie Mewes heated up in the third quarter as Daviess County would put the game away for good. The Lady Panther duo combined to score 16 third-quarter points as the lead ballooned out to 55-19.
With the clock running in the final quarter, the rest of the game played out quickly with Daviess County picking up the 42 point victory.
Alecia Davis was the top scorer for UHA with 13 points. Breanna Daniel added six more.
Adylan Ayer led Daviess County with 13 points. Lily Hoagland was the other Lady Panther to reach double figures with 10.
UHA drops to 0-4 with the loss. They return to action Friday evening at 5:30 when they host Dawson Springs.
